While trying to get experience to become an actress, she once tried out for a Lens Crafters commercial. She didn’t get the part and says that she’s always been terrible at auditioning. She just “freezes up.”
Years later and she has an Oscar win for Best Original Song, plus a nomination for Best Actress after starring in 2018's A Star Is Born. And a Golden Globe for her work on TV's American Horror Story.
For her latest role in Ridley Scott's Gucci, she plays Patrizia Reggiani, wife of heir to the fashion house Maurizio Gucci who ultimately had him killed.
House of Gucci will be in theaters Nov. 24.
