Astroworld Festival Victims Died Of ‘Compression Asphyxia’

According to TMZ, the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has confirmed that all 10 victims who lost their lives at Travis Scott's Astroworld festival died from “compression asphyxia,” meaning they wer suffocated

One other person had a “contributory cause” of death which was due to “combined toxic effects of cocaine, methamphetamine, and ethanol.”

Three of the victims were females and seven were males with their ages ranging from 9 to 27 years old.

In other Travis Scott related news, the Houston rapper is spearheading a new concert safety initiative following the tragedy at Astroworld.

TMZ reports that Scott has met up with leaders from The United States Conference of Mayors and is aiming to form an official committee that will ensure concert and festival safety moving forward.
