Our Wet Nose Wednesday star for this week needs your help! Once again, we’re looking for the right person to provide a loving home for the longest resident at Sangamon County Animal Control.
Darby has been with us since January 21st when he was surrendered by his owner. Some dogs start to break down when they’ve lived in a kennel for a long time. Darby is losing weight and looking rough. He’s a one year old pit mix dog and his coat is black and white. Black pit mix dogs are often overlooked and are the toughest dogs to get adopted, probably because there tend to be so many of them in shelters.
Darby doesn’t show well in his kennel because he’s frantic to get out. Spend some time outside with him and you’ll see he can be a sweetheart around his people. He’s a powerful guy who will need to spend some time learning to walk nicely on a leash.
Are you willing to help a dog in need? Please come meet Darby at SCAC Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 10:30-12:45. If you can’t adopt, please share Darby’s video. Let’s help this boy find the love he deserves!
