Former REM singer Michael Stipe will release a Brian Eno-produced single “Future If Future” announced as “the world’s first commercially available Bioplastic 12′” single. The flipside of the release will feature a ballad from artist Beatie Wolfe titled “Oh My Heart” as part of a wider ranging Bandcamp project with Earth Percent, which features over 100 tracks. The bioplastic vinyl, designed by the British music sustainability organization Evolution Music, offers a non-fossil-fuel future of vinyl recordings, replacing harmful production and minimizing waste. The pressing is limited to 500 copies, and will be released this Friday, September 2nd. (https://bit.ly/3AFwvuG)
