Wet Nose Wednesday: Boone

By John Spalding Aug 23, 2023 | 10:11 AM

The staff at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center and all of the Friends of SCAC volunteers are doing everything we can to find loving homes for the dogs in our care. This has been a tough year and the shelter is still full. Many wonderful dogs have been waiting a very long time to leave kennel life behind.
Boone is one of the dogs who has been waiting a long time. This handsome guy has been waiting patiently since Feb 20 to meet his new family. Unfortunately Boone has been getting passed by. Maybe because he’s a black pit bull and they’re often overlooked in the kennels. But Boone is totally worth coming to SCACAC for an introduction. This young boy is approx two years old and he’s a volunteer favorite. He’s friendly, likes people and walks pretty well on a leash. Six months in a kennel hasn’t changed his temperament.
Are you looking for a new member to join your family? Please give Boone or any of our other long time residents a chance. They’re waiting to meet you Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 10:30-3:15. The adoption fee for dogs is only $50.00!
