Would you ever consider dropping $500 on a date?  Not the ACTUAL date . . . but just the APP to FIND the person to date in the first place?

Tinder has just announced a new exclusive, high-end membership tier called “Tinder Select,” which will cost $499 a month, or $6,000 per year.

For that price, you might expect a personalized experience with human matchmakers . . . but no.  It’s still just the normal Tinder algorithms, you just get special access to Tinder’s “most sought after profiles” so they can enjoy “exceptional connections.”  Whatever that means.

There are a few other perks, like being able to direct message others without matching . . . but only two times a week, and only if the other person is accepting DMs.  And you’d also get to test new features and hide ads.

If you’re an avid, VIP Tinder user . . . who’s wealthy . . . this may be worth a shot.  But it seems like it’s mostly a status thing, since Tinder gives these folks the ability to add a special “SELECT” badge to their profile.

Interested?  Well, Tinder’s website says they’re “not currently accepting applications,” but to continue to check back.

They say they’ll open it up to their “most active users” on a rolling basis . . . but they want to keep the number of “Select” users to less than 1%.

Also, Tinder has supposedly had “secret” VIP memberships for years . . . but this is the first time they’ve offered one up publicly.
