Nicki Minaj's new album, Pink Friday 2, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It's her third record to reach the top spot (after Pink Friday in 2011 and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in 2012), and the most No. 1 albums among female rappers. She earned 228,000 equivalent album units, which is the largest week for a female rap album in the 2020s and the biggest for a female R&B/hip-hop album this year. Taylor Swift’s formerly chart-topping 1989 (Taylor’s Version) was No. 2 this week, with Drake's latest For All the Dogs at No. 3. Tate McRae earned her first top 10-charting album, with Think Later debuting in the No. 4 spot. Michael Bublé’s Christmas stayed put to round out the No. 5.
