As Senator Dick Durbin’s tenure comes to an end many organizations are recognizing his service through the years.
On Friday the Illinois Health and Hospital Association presented Durbin with the Distinguished Service Award. The IHA stated that the award highlights Durbin’s longstanding efforts to support hospitals and expand access to health care.
Durbin, now 81 and has served five terms in the Senate, decided not to run for re-election in the November election.
