Tupac Murder Suspect Granted House Arrest, $750,000 Bail

Duane “Keffe D” Davis, the gang figure charged with orchestrating the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur, was ordered to await his June trial under house arrest, if he can come up with his $750,000 bail, a Nevada judge ruled on Tuesday. He'll also be ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device. Davis' lawyers had argued for no more than $100,000 bail, but “believe he can” post enough to get out. They argued in a court filing that their client — not witnesses, as prosecutors have argued — is the one facing danger. They also say the 60-year-old is in poor health and that he is not a flight risk.
