A one-night-only tribute concert to the late singer Mark Lanegan is set to take place at the historic Roundhouse in London on December 5. The show is dubbed, Mark Lanegan – A Celebration, and will feature performances by Depeche Mode‘s Dave Gahan, Queens Of The Stone Age‘s Josh Homme, the Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, Primal Scream‘s Bobby Gillespie, the Afghan Whigs’ Greg Dulli, the Kills‘ Alison Mosshart, and more. Soulsavers will serve as the house band for the event, with Lanegan’s friends and frequent collaborators such as Troy Van Leeuwen, Aldo Struyf and other special guests sitting in throughout the night. Dulli, who was in the Gutter Twins with Lanegan, had this to say about the special event in a press release: “What a wonderful night this will be. Singing his songs and sharing stories of our dear friend in a much-deserved celebration of his life and music.” (NME)
