On Tuesday (September 24), the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office released the official cause of death for late Crazy Town singer Seth “Shifty Shellshock” Brooks Binzer. The statement revealed that the 49-year-old Binzer died as a result of the effects of a lethal combination of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine. The manner of death was ultimately ruled as an “accidental” overdose. Binzer died at his home in the Los Angeles-area back on June 24, after having spent years struggling with substance abuse. Crazy Town manager Howie Hubberman said in a statement at the time, “Seth Binzer, after struggling with addiction and Crazy Town’s rapid success with ‘Butterfly,’ never was able to reach out on a more successful level to deal with his addictions. We all tried, but ultimately we all failed, or Shifty would still be here.” (Billboard)
