Following last month’s abrupt departure of their longtime drummer, Tim “Herb” Alexander, Primus is now holding open calls for a replacement drummer for the band. The California alt rock legends shared a post on Instagram on Monday (November 18) where they revealed the details of how an aspiring drummer can apply to be the newest member of Primus. Interested musicians should submit their resume and a recent video performance to drumsearch@primusville.com. “We are currently taking submissions from all points in the universe for the position of Primus drummer/percussionist,” the band writes. “Seeking a well-mannered, affable individual with original sensibility and aesthetic, possessing a desire to open new doors in the creative world. Flashy chops are wonderful, but groove, pocket, and the ability to listen, react, and contribute to the musical conversation is a must.” (Consequence of Sound)
