A big YouGov poll on America’s dating habits just came out. And it’s got some interesting stats, like how many of us have been in love . . . been cheated on . . . and had a one-night stand.
The stats are for all age groups. So each one might be higher or lower depending on how old you are. But here’s what the survey found.
How many of these have YOU experienced?
1. Ever been in love? 88% said yes, at least once in their life. But that doesn’t mean you’ve said the words. 82% have told someone they loved them in a romantic way . . . 83% have HEARD the words “I love you.”
2. Ever been on a date? 88% have. Younger people were more likely to say they haven’t yet.
3. Had sex? 87%
4. Been in a true “relationship” before? 86%
5. Dumped someone? 77%
6. Been dumped? 74%
7. Had a crush on someone, but they didn’t like you back? 70%
8. Lived with someone? 62%
9. Been engaged? Also 62%.
10. Bean CHEATED ON? 53% said they have, but only 33% admit THEY’VE cheated before.
11. Had a one-night stand? 52% said they’ve done it.
12. Been in a long-distance relationship? 47%
13. Experienced love at first sight? 43%
14. Had an on-again, off-again relationship? 42%

19. Been in a love triangle? 19%
20. Been in an open relationship? 9%. Men were twice as likely to say they’d be INTERESTED in an open relationship . . . 20% vs. 9% of women.
The top five reasons for NOT wanting an open relationship are: It just seems wrong . . . a general lack of interest . . . jealousy concerns . . . you wouldn’t want to deal with multiple people’s emotions . . . and finally, who has the time?
