State Rep. Coffey introduces legislation to authorize state grants for security improvement; to move to Senate after House passage on Wednesday

State Representative Mike Coffey has introduced legislation that would authorize state grants for libraries to improve security.

The Secretary of State’s office reports that between July and September of 2023 alone, there were more than 20 known bomb threats requiring state and local police. 

The bill sponsored by the Springfield Republican passed the House on Wednesday afternoon.
