Man who was pulled from Lake Springfield on Tuesday identified by Sangamon County coroner

Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon identified the man who died after being pulled from Lake Springfield on Tuesday afternoon as 34-year-old Averill McDonald. Allmon said preliminary autopsy results indicate McDonald drowned.

The coroner’s office and Springfield Police are investigating.
