The Rochester school board and the district’s teachers union have approved a new collective bargaining agreement that includes a 5.5-percent base salary increase for the upcoming school year.
The district said the two-year agreement covers more than 150 certified staff members. The agreement also slightly reduces class size caps, increases staff tuition reimbursement and collaboration time, and adds teacher safety protocols.
The agreement was ratified by the teachers union and approved by the Rochester school board on Wednesday.
