Illinois gas prices dropped 6.1 cents over the past week according to Gasbuddy.com.
The drop puts the average price of a gallon of gas in Illinois at $3.39 a gallon.
That price is 3.3 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and 50.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
