The City of Springfield has issued notice that beginning Monday, August 4, a section of Bissell Road between Granger Drive and North Dirksen Parkway will be closed to facilitate surface repairs, as well as improvements to drainage.
The work is expected to be finished next month on or before Friday, September 19.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes around the roadwork area. Drivers should be prepared to slow down and remain aware of work crews and equipment.
