Shane Woods, the man who was found guilty of multiple charges related to a fatal wrong-way crash on Interstate 55 in November of 2022 has been sentenced to 17 years in prison.
In the November 2022 incident Woods drove the wrong way on I-55, resulting in the death of Lauren Wegner and injuries to two others.
Woods has been credited with 1,015 days of time served and will be under supervised release for two years following his prison term.
