“Clue” and “Wordle” are now the source of inspiration for two upcoming shows.

Netflix is creating a competition series based on the board game “Clue”.  Not much else is known except players will go through physical and mental challenges to earn clues.

The classic characters from the game like Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum, and Miss Scarlet will be represented, but it’s not clear HOW.  There will also be “red herrings” to confuse players.

(The movie adaptation of “Clue” celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.)

NBC has a game show based on the popular “New York Times” puzzle “Wordle” in the works.  Jimmy Fallon is an executive producer and Savannah Guthrie from the “Today” show is set to host.

If you’ve never played Wordle before, you basically get six tries to guess a five-letter word.
