Repairs begin today on the Sixth Street interchange with Interstate 72 in Springfield.
Workers are replacing a steel beam that was damaged in a crash. Two ramps will be closed during the project, the southbound Sixth Street ramp to eastbound I-72 and the eastbound I-72 ramp to northbound Sixth Street.
Completion is expected in two weeks.
