The Illinois Department of Human Services says Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits are being restored now that the federal government shutdown has ended.
IDHS reports remaining benefits will be paid over the next several days with all SNAP recipients receiving their full November benefits by Thursday.
The department reports 1.9 million Illinois residents utilize the SNAP program.
