The Sangamon County Board public health committee last week did not consider applications from three massage parlors due to a lack of a second.
Committee member Marc Ayers told the State Journal-Register that other committee members were uncomfortable with suggestive online ads from the parlors.
The county’s massage business license is similar to the City of Springfield’s ordinance, requiring fingerprinting, state massage therapy licensing and background checks.
