Springfield Police report operations this week focusing on firearm and gang violence have resulted in the arrest of five people and the seizure of 11 weapons.
Police said no other details are being released due to the nature of the investigations.
Springfield Police asked anyone with information about gang activity or illegal firearms to call the department or Crime Stoppers.
