Fire extensively damaged an abandoned apartment building west of downtown Jacksonville early Thursday morning.
Firefighters were called before 6 am to the 300 block of West State Street, where the three-story building was fully engulfed in flames.
No injuries were reported after a search of the structure.
Authorities said the building will be demolished.
