Gasoline prices in the area have been stable over the past month, according to Triple-A.
The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the Springfield area today is $2.84, about two cents lower than one month ago.
Triple-A said the average price of a gallon of regular fuel one year ago was 28 cents higher than today at $3.12.
