Frigid weather is descending upon Illinois with several inches of snow possible beginning late Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service at Lincoln issued a winter storm warning from 9 a.m. Saturday to midnight Sunday night with five to nine inches of snow possible.
Wind chills are around 15 to 20 below.
Schools in the area have delayed or canceled classes with some going to e-learning today.
