A three-decade employee of Springfield’s public utility has been named to lead the department.
Mayor Misty Buscher announced on Tuesday that Scott Rogers will become City Water, Light and Power’s Chief Utility Engineer in April.
Rogers will replace Doug Brown, who is retiring at the end of March to become president and CEO of the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency.
Rogers has worked in CWLP since 1995; he was named Electric Division Manager in 2020.
