The latest No Kings rally protesting the policies of President Donald Trump attracted a large crowd to the front of the Illinois State Capitol on Saturday afternoon.
Speakers criticized immigration policies and discrimination against minorities but also used the platform to speak about local concerns such as green energy, a proposed data center and law enforcement, including a physical incident involving a Springfield police officer and a female that circulated during the weekend on social media.
The rally was one of several conducted around Illinois during the weekend by the group Indivisible.
