Cristobal Santana, who shot Illinois State Trooper Dakotah Chapman-Green in Springfield in October of 2023 has been sentenced to 95 years in prison.
Santana had been convicted of multiple felonies in August of 2025.
The 95 year sentence includes 70 years for attempted first-degree murder, along with an additional 25-year enhancement for personally discharging a firearm during the offense.
In addition to his prison term, Santana will be subject to three years of mandatory supervised release upon completion of his sentence.
Trooper Chapman-Green suffered severe injuries but has made a full recovery.
