A Central Illinois resident with a wide variety of experience as a federal prosecutor has been sworn in as the U.S. Attorney for the Central District of Illinois.
Gregory Gilmore took the oath of office this week at the federal courthouse in Springfield.
The Senate confirmed President Donald Trump’s appointment of Gilmore in May.
Gilmore has been with the Central District office since 1994 in various leadership positions.
