After the Illinois General Assembly failed this weekend to pass legislation aimed at keeping the Chicago Bears in Illinois, the team said Friday it is proceeding with a stadium project in Hammond, Indiana.
WMAY’s Patrick Pfingsten reports in his The Illinoize newsletter the Bears board of directors voted to proceed with the project yesterday.
The Bears still have not chosen an exact site in Hammond and some state sources say it does not appear Hammond is a “done deal.”
