State Senator Doris Turner is touting her role in securing nearly $10,000 for the Midland Fire Protection District to help with purchasing new equipment or paying for fire training.
Turner said, “ No matter where you live, you deserve to feel safe in your community. When we invest in public safety, we are investing in residents – putting their well-being first.”
Funding is passed through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to local fire departments and fire training academies.
