Springfield Ward 7 Alderman Brad Carlson has announced he plans to run for re-election.
Carlson is in his first term serving the ward on the city’s near west side after his election in 2023.
Carlson said public safety is a leading responsibility for any pubic official and that he has worked with city fire and police departments. He also said he will continue to run a top-notch consituent service program and bring needed infrastructure improvements to the ward.
Carlson has served as deputy Sangamon County clerk, Capital Township trustee, and chief of staff at the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
