An early morning single-vehicle crash in Menard County on Friday led to the death of the driver.
According to the Menard County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash shortly after 5 a.m. near the intersection of Altig Bridge Avenue and Duncan Avenue in rural Greenview.
When authorities arrived on the scene they found a vehicle crashed with the driver inside. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Their identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification. The crash remains under investigation.
