Woodward Community Media is proud to celebrate three of its on-air personalities who have been nominated in the State Journal-Register’s 2026 Community’s Choice Awards.
John Spalding and Josh Roberts of 104.5 WFMB, along with Sam Madonia of 97.7 FM/970 AM WMAY, have all earned nominations in the Entertainment & Leisure – People category for Radio Personality/Show, recognizing their commitment to informing, entertaining, and connecting with listeners across Central Illinois.
Spalding, co-host of New Country Mornings on 104.5 WFMB, is looking to make it two years in a row after winning the category in 2025. Listeners can tune in to Spalding and co-host Leah Guffey weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Roberts, host of The Ride Home on 104.5 WFMB, keeps listeners company each weekday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., delivering music, entertainment, and an upbeat afternoon drive experience.
Madonia, a longtime Springfield broadcasting favorite, hosts AM Springfield on 97.7 FM/970 AM WMAY weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. His program has become a staple for local news, interviews, and community discussions throughout the region.
