A 43-year-old Springfield woman has been sentenced to five years in prison for the fatal stabbing of her son in 2024.
Julie Marshall pleaded guilty last week to second-degree murder in May for the death of 23-year-old Michael Gristy.
Court documents show Marshall went to a home on Louise Lane because of an argument between Gristy and his girlfriend, and that Marshall said she tried to take a knife away from Gristy.
