IDOT has announced that a planned tree removal project will close down the southbound lanes of Illinois Route 29 between Interstate 55 and Tuxhorn Road starting Monday September 21st at 9 AM.
The Interstate 55 South Grand Avenue southbound exit ramps will be closed. A detour utilizing I-55 and Illinois 104 will be posted.
Northbound lanes will not be impacted by this project.
The project is scheduled to be completed by 2:30 PM on the 21st.
