The Illinois State Police have announced that on Wednesday October 7th they will be conducting a large-scale, multi-agency training exercise at the Illinois State Fairgrounds involving dozens of emergency responders and vehicles.
Residents in the area may hear loud noises and sirens and see people in hazmat suits and tactical equipment.
ISP also added that there will be no impact on routine community emergency services, and daily police and fire operations will not be affected.
