A center that provides emergency childcare and other services to the Springfield community plans to expand with the donation of land for a new facility.
Mini O’Beirne Crisis Nursery leaders announced the donation on Thursday. The donated land is on North 6th Street, one block west of the current facility at 1011 North 7th Street.
Nursery leaders said the new building will double the capacity from 10 to 20 children. A capital campaign for the new building is being planned.
