Wet Nose Wednesday: Spirit

By John Spalding Apr 19, 2023 | 10:23 AM

Did you know black dogs are the last dogs to get adopted from shelters? Unfortunately that’s true and it’s even worse it the black dog is big or a pit mix. Our Wet Nose Wednesday star for this week is a perfect example.

Spirit was brought to Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center on December 10th. At the time he was just a pup. He’s now a little over a year old so sadly, this nice young dog has grown up in a kennel.  Spirit has the energy level of a young dog and loves to get out for walks and playtime. He does okay on a leash and will learn when he gets to spend more time outside taking walks. Spirit is a guy who needs a chance at a life in a home with people who love him. Are you willing to give him a chance?
You can meet Spirit and all the other adoptable dogs at SCACAC Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and @0:30-12:45. Our kennels are full of great dogs. Come on out and meet your new best friend.
Thanks to Simply CBD in Junction Circle for sponsoring Wet Nose Wednesday!
