People are using video games to help escape the current reality of the pandemic and being stuck at home.
The result is a shortage of game consoles. For new gamers, it feels like Black Friday or Christmas. Many retailers are sold out of popular gaming systems. Now people are trying to make money by selling them at higher prices on the secondary market.
An owner of a video game store in Texas says it’s like ticket scalpers but for gaming. He also says if people are willing to wait, stores will have the systems back in stock at the normal price.
If you think that’s bad, just wait until the new consoles are released for Christmas this year including a new system from XBOX and Playstation.
