Details have been released on the crash in which a Lincoln Land Community College baseball player died early Wednesday morning.
Livingston County Coroner Michael Renner said 20-year-old Michael Roberson of Minooka died after the Honda Civic crossed into the opposite lane of Old Route 66 near Dwight into a ditch and rolled onto its top in the Mazon River.
A passerby saw the vehicle in the water and dialed 911 at about 6 am. A candlelight vigil for Roberson is scheduled for Monday evening at 8:30 next to Cass Gymnasium at Lincoln Land Community College.
