Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer” was back at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, three weeks after becoming her 10th chart-topping hit. The song was originally released on Swift’s 2019 album Lover, but gained traction again this year as Swift performed it on The Eras Tour. The song it replaced was her 11th, “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version),” which knocked it off the top spot a week ago. That song drops to No. 3 this week, with Doja Cat’s “Paint The Town Red” in between them at No. 2. SZA’s single “Snooze” landed at No. 4, while Jung Kook’s “Standing Next to You” enters the Hot 100 at No. 5. The Beatles also returned to the Billboard charts with “Now & Then” – their landmark 35th top 10 hit – which further extends their record for the most among groups – and their first since 1996.
