A woman in Australia complained on TikTok about how people who work for places like Instacart suck at picking out fruits and vegetables. But it went viral because of how she pronounces “BROCCOLI”. She says it “brocco-LIE.”
It made people question whether THEY’D been saying it wrong their whole life. But brocco-LEE is closer to the original Italian word, so keep doing what you’re doing. It’s apparently how a lot of people in Australia used to say it, and some still pronounce it like that.
