Prince Jukebox Musical Film In The Works From Ryan Coogler

Ryan Coogler, the director of Black Panther, will produce a jukebox movie musical centered around the music of Prince. The project, which was first announced in 2018, has reportedly now taken a significant step forward with Coogler's involvement. Bryan Edward Hill, known for his work on comic books like Kilmonger and Ultimate Black Panther, has already written a draft of the script. While no additional details have been revealed, the film will likely commence after Coogler completes his upcoming "event film" with Michael B. Jordan in March 2025. It was also announced recently that Prince's Purple Rain film will be adapted into a stage musical.
