Pitbull has purchased the naming rights to the football stadium at Florida International University, which will now be known at Pitbull Stadium. Mr. 305 is proud of his Miami roots and his deep ties to South Florida, and owning the naming rights of FIU’s football stadium only solidifies Pitbull’s cultural presence in the state. Mr. Worldwide now becomes the first musician to have a collegiate stadium named after him. According to reporting by ESPN, Pitbull and FIU entered a five-year deal in which the musician will apparently pay $6 million to the university for FIU Stadium to be renamed to Pitbull Stadium.
