Just because an emoji is CRYING, that doesn’t mean it’s right for sad situations.
There’s a post on Buzzfeed right now showing screenshots of different text messages where people use the “laughing so hard I’m crying” emoji in a sad situation. Apparently they only noticed the emoji’s tears, not its giant smile.
So this is a reminder NOT to use that emoji in sad situations.
