During Paul McCartney’s headlining set that closed out the 2024 edition of Corona Capital music festival in Mexico City on Sunday night (November 18), the Beatles’ legend was joined by Jack White and St. Vincent during a spirited closing performance of the Abbey Road classic, “The End.” White and St. Vincent were featured as part of the festival lineup earlier that day, with both musicians joining McCartney for his triumphant finale performance. St. Vincent – who previously collaborated with McCartney on “Woman and Wives” for 2021’s McCartney III Imagined – also joined in with Macca during a fiery take on “Get Back” earlier in the set. Surprisingly, this marked White’s – a self-professed Beatles fanatic – first time ever sharing the stage with McCartney, and the Detroit music legend captured the historic moment on Instagram for posterity’s sake. White’s Third Man Records team commented on the post, “Legends all around. Jack didn’t quit smiling.” (Consequence of Sound)
