Liam Gallagher Says His Claim About A “Finished” New Oasis Album Was Just A Joke

Everyone should take what Liam Gallagher says with a grain of salt along with a healthy dose of fact checking. In September, the Oasis frontman sent out a series of tweets igniting rumors that the Britpop legends had a new album finished, in addition to their series of sold-out reunion shows. Gallagher responded to a fan’s question on X, “is it true that oasis will have a new album?” by stating, “Yep it’s already finished.” When another fan wrote that an “albums in the air,” Liam quipped, “It’s in the bag mate f**k the air.” Gallagher has now squashed rumors of a new Oasis album while admitting it just a joke. “Let’s just calm the f**k down there is no oasis album in the making,” Gallagher wrote on X on Saturday. “I was f**king joking remember them and the reason being because everyone is a little uptight these days I’m sorry if I have upset anyone but f**k me it was a laugh.” (Rolling Stone)
